About Fasting and Cleansing
Fasting is one of the most natural, powerful therapies known to humankind and is used to detox the body. Periods of abstinence from solid food, a ritual since ancient times, allow the body to cleanse and purify, to remove toxins, excess weight, parasites, and the like caused by years of fast food, cigarettes, prescriptions, drugs and alcohol. Add to that work related stress, indigestion, illnesses, constipation and sedentary lifestyles and you have a recipe for a unhealthy colon.
Furthermore, the cells, tissues, organs of your body are given a well deserved and much needed chance to slow down, rest and heal. With the addition of colon cleansing and colonics(a cleansing regime whereby the colon is flushed out with natural solutions, in itself a potent detoxification tool), the Sancturay Detox Program offer a transformative, therapeutic process moving you towards much greater states of health and well being.

How to get there
By plane:
The most direct way to get Ko Phangan is to fly from Bangkok to Koh Samui Island with Bangkok Air. Thai Air also flies to Koh Samui so check out their offers too. Note that Bangkok Air has a very flexible ‘change your ticket’ policy and they have 20 flights a day to and from the islands.
By Boat:
Koh Phangan island is easily accessible by boat from several places in southern Thailand. Most boats arrive on Koh Phangan at one of two towns, Tong Sala or Haad Rin. If your boat lands in Tong Sala, go to Haad Rin town via taxi truck, where you can get a car taxi, or boat taxi, to Haad Tien Bay, home of the Sanctuary.
From Koh Samui:
The easiest way to get to The Sanctuary, between mid January to late October, is onboard the Thong Nai Pan ferry boat. This ferry departs from Mae Nam pier on Koh Samui every day at 12 noon and brings you directly to Had Tien Bay (get off at the second stop Had Tien Bay).
There are also 4 ferry boats a day from the Had Rin Queen Ferry Pier at Big Buddha Pier to Had Rin: 1030, 1300, 1600, and 1830.
Between November and February the boat schedules are sometimes irregular, due to monsoon winds and waves. During this period there are usually 2 or 3 boats a day from Had Rin West where the Had Rin Queen ferry from Big Buddha Pier on Koh Samui arrives.
From the city of Surat Thani:
Many ferry companies offer boats directly to Koh Phangan, or via Koh Samui. The boats land at Tong Sala town on Koh Phangan and you can to get a taxi truck to Had Rin, where you can catch a car taxi or boat taxi to The Sanctuary.
From other parts of the island:
A new road running from Had Tien & Had Yuan to the Sanctuary was built recently. While the boat ride here is part of the magic of the journey, sometimes rough seas, or no available boats, necessitate travelling here by land. If you wish to travel by land, look for a taxi truck heading to the Sanctuary from the Had Rin Queen pier.
